Yamna has reaffirmed its commitment to Oman’s hydrogen sector development by participating in the Ecosystem Readiness Lab, an initiative organized by Hydrom in collaboration with the Oman Vision 2040 unit and the Ministry of Energy and Minerals. This initiative is a critical step towards achieving Oman’s 2030 green hydrogen production targets and positioning the nation as a leader in clean energy.
As part of a consortium that includes J-POWER and EDF Group, Yamna is spearheading a significant green hydrogen project in the Dhofar region. The ambitious project aims to produce 1 million tonnes of green ammonia annually, marking a pivotal development in strengthening Oman’s position in the global hydrogen economy and accelerating its transition to a low-carbon future.
At the opening session of the Ecosystem Readiness Lab, Yamna CEO Abdelaziz Yatribi emphasized the substantial progress made on this landmark project. Yatribi highlighted Yamna’s dedication to building a sustainable and world-class green hydrogen ecosystem in Oman, showcasing the company’s ongoing efforts to drive the nation’s clean energy goals forward.
This collaboration underscores a shared commitment to advancing a cleaner, greener future for the Sultanate of Oman, reinforcing the country’s role in leading the global transition to sustainable energy solutions.
