The Assam government has approved an MoU with Reliance Bio-Energy Limited to promote the Compressed Biogas Sector. This initiative will reduce fossil fuel pollution and boost employment for farmers.
Assam government has approved the Memorandum of Understanding between Reliance Bio-Energy Limited and state government for promoting Compressed Biogas Sector in the State.
The cabinet meeting on Sunday stated Cabinet has approved the Memorandum of Understanding between Reliance Bio-Energy Limited and Government of Assam for promoting Compressed Biogas Sector in the State.
As per the understanding, a network of integrated compressed bio-gas infrastructure will be established in the State. This initiative will ensure reduction of pollution created by fossil fuels without endangering food security.Significant employment and income for the farmers, by developing Bio value chain ecosystem.
As per the 3rd Cash Call of Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) to infuse equity against the 26% stake of Government of Assam in the Mini Ratna CPSE, Cabinet has approved release of 205.72crore to NRL. This infusion will significantly boost NRL's expansion activities and create job opportunities for the youth.
The cabinet has accorded approval to construction of 97 rural roads and 70 Minor irrigation projects in the State. The projects will improve connectivity in 23 districts. These projects will be executed at a cost of 428.62crore under NABARD's RIDF-XXX scheme.
Expanding Social Security Net for Tea Garden Employees.The cabinet has decided to to remove the ambiguity and inconsistency regarding Class of employees entitled and required to join the Fund, Cabinet has approved Amendment of Para 22 and 29 of Assam Tea Plantations Provident Fund & Pension Fund Scheme, 1968.
The amendments will allow P.F deductions from the class of employees who get over and above the Salary of 15,000 and thereby remove the ambiguity and inconsistency regarding deduction of PF from employees drawing wages/salary more than 15,000/month.All employees will thus be entitled to benefits of Provident Fund, irrespective of their salary bracket
Following Union Government decision to hike rates of Dearness Allowance (DA)/Dearness Relief (DR) for its employees and pensioners, the Cabinet has also accorded approval to hike DA/DR of State Govt employees and pensioners by 3%.The arrear DA/DR for the months of July, August, September and October, 2024 will be provided in four equal installments in the months of December, 2024, January, February and March, 2025 respectively.
To promote unique heritage and support their growth, Cabinet has accorded approval to financial assistance of 25,000 to Raas Committees in the State. This decision will benefit nearly 2,000 Live Raas festivals. Raas organized with idols will not receive this assistance. The requirement of paying fees for obtaining permission to organize Raas Mahotsavs has also been waived off for everyone.
